Jesus the Beloved Son and a Beloved Daughter?
It was another good and crazy week!!
️I spent almost all week in the BEST TRIO EVER in Matsumoto and the miracles never stopped!
️
Let me just say, I kind of understand how someone might react to hearing the story of Joseph Smith for the first time. We went to lunch with an amazing Christian named Hiroko... she part of the unification church. This church is the reason Japanese people hate Christians (someone in this church killed Japan's prime minister or something) γγ°γ!We had an amazing conversation about Jesus though! Then she started telling us about the beloved daughter who lives in South Korea.
Very interesting. Very weird. I tried to hold back my laughter. We had a good talk though and bonded over loving Jesus which is never a bad thing.
I had a little taste of what it would be like to serve stateside and not gonna lie, it was nice! There is a couple who is literally from Boise Idaho who moved here 2 months ago for work. The husband was a member when he was a kid but stopped going to church in his teens. We went over and they served us an amazing dinner and then we had the greatest bible study ever. The Matsumoto sisters had told me they are hesitant to give the couple a Book of Mormon because they didn't know how the wife Shannon would react. We brought one that we had marked with our fav scriptures just in case and we ended up giving it to them and they were very grateful! We left that house feeling very spiritually uplifted and LOVING JESUS!
I had an amazing time being in a trio with Crockett ε§ε¦Ή and Terry ε§ε¦Ή and I am a little sad its over so soon! I feel like a new missionary after being with them. I just started my second to last transfer which means I have about 3ish months left. WHAT. I feel a lot of anticipation for the work and for Nagano area. My new companion is Sister Wentz and boy do I love her. She is definitely my most quiet companion but in a very good way. She is calm and ready to work and I just feel so excited and ready too!
Friday was transfer day and I had the bestest time seeing my friends and also the saddest time realizing that was probably the last time I will see a lot of them. Ahhhh. We will all reunite someday though!
The weather has been yucky but that hasn't stopped the work! Me and Wentz ε§ε¦Ή went out streeting yesterday in very windy cloudy weather and managed to pass out 2 Book of Mormons and get someone's contact info in about an hour. I hope this is telling me how the next 2 transfers will go because I am ready!
1 more thing! Nobue was able to come to church!! Saturday night we went to visit her with our member Noriko ε§ε¦Ή and it went sooo super well! They bonded over lots of things and they became good friends! Yayy! I love Nobue so much, she is so sweet and fun! She will get baptized soon, I can feel it! Idk if it will be during my time of being here, but she is making her way along!
During my studies I read D&C 88:86This verse really stuck out to me during my personal study, and Im gonna break it down for you!
"Abide ye in the liberty wherewith ye are made free;" Through the atonement, Jesus Christ set us free. He gave us liberty! We are free to choose and act how we want. To be able to make mistakes, learn from them, and grow.
"entangle not yourselves in sin," When we choose to sin, we are binding ourselves back up. Self sabotaging I guess. We are making room for satan in our lives. The only way satan can have power over us, is if we let him. Believe it or not, we are stronger than he is!
"but let your hands be clean, until the Lord comes."Thanks to the atonement, we can free ourselves from these sins. We can be made clean and shake off satan's grasp on us. YAY THANK YOU JESUS!
Just remember God loves you and is very merciful!
I love you too!
Make it a good week!

Last week we got the worst news ever that Hinckley ε§ε¦Ή would have to go home due to some health things. We spent the last few days picking her up lots of souvenirs, getting her Japan shopping done, and find grinding! Even though we were pretty busy with not so missionary things, we talked to so many people, handed out lots of Book of Mormons, and just worked so hard. This girl really showed me what enduring til the end looked like!

I'm so proud of Hinckley ε§ε¦Ή and I am SO grateful for the ways she helped me become a better missionary. I already miss her!
Tuesday we took a train down to Nagoya and slept in the honbu (mission home). It was heaven. But Wednesday morning we had to get up early and take Hinckley ε§ε¦Ή to the airport.
Afterwards I went with the sisters in Meito to the Nagoya castle and we interviewed lots of people for an ad the sisters were making, We just asked them questions like what they think the purpose of life is, or if they have heard of the Book of Mormon. It was pretty fun! Then, I was taken to the Nagoya train station and sent by myself to Matsumoto!
As soon as I got to Matsumoto, I was already seeing miracles with Crockett and Terry ε§ε¦Ή. These past couple of days we gave talked to EVERYONE we can. We have handed out so many Book of Mormons and got so many people's contact information. God is so good!
On friday after we had gotten off a train from Suwa we talked to these 2 teenagers and invited them to the church that night for a thing the branch is doing. Every Friday they watch an episode of the Chosen at the church! Obviously we didn't expect them to come, because no one takes our invitations, but THEY CAME!! It was so amazing. Oguchi ε§ε¦Ή, an inactive member who hasn't been to the church in like 40 years also came! She was able to see her old friends and it was such a happy moment. We just need to work on getting her to come to actual sacrament meeting.
Everyone knows Matsumoto was my beanγ‘γγ area. (First area). And when I was here the first time I would always think about how cool it would be to come back towards the end of my mission to be able to actually speak to the ward members. I still cannot speak very well, but oh my goodness I was not prepared for how bad my cheeks would hurt from smiling so much. They were all so surprised and so happy to see me. Almost everyone said my Japanese had gotten so much better which like, PHEW. I was giving hugs left and right, even some of the primary kids recognized me and gave me huge hugs. I sure hope this is what heaven will be like.
In Sunday school the teacher got done teaching but had some time left, so he asked me to bare my testimony to everyone. Usually I would be nervous to do this, but I was able to get up there and say (mostly) what I wanted to say. Matsumoto is a special place and wow, I feel so lucky to be able to be back here for a little bit.
For one of our missionary meetings Crockett ε§ε¦Ή was giving a little training/lesson about the priesthood. She kept saying the "heavens are open" and I loved that. Heavenly Father is right there, blessing us, helping us, guiding us. The fulness of the gospel is on the Earth right now! We have everything we need! Because the heavens are open, we can have direct access to God's power (the priesthood). We can pray with confidence that God is listening and will give us an answer. Recently I just cannot get over how lucky and blessed I am to have this knowledge. It makes me so happy. I love this gospel. I love God and I love you guys! Thank you for always supporting me!

Wednesday was Zone Conference! It did feel a little weird having it in the middle of the week, usually it is on Friday for me, but overall it was a very needed time. You know me, I am always super happy when I get to see my missionary friends! My favorite Akiyama ι·θ is AP so I got to be reunited with him! I love you η§γ‘γγ!!
Our zone had a goal this week to hand out 50 Book of Mormons all together! Hinckley ε§ε¦Ή and I saw so many miracles from this! It was really fun to work hard with Sister Hinckley and to see some fruits from our labors.
