Week 61: Nagano, Nagoya; Companion: Sister Hinckley

TADAIMAYes, you heard it right, I'M HOME!

That is, Matsumoto of course! My bean area!

πŸ™ŒI went and visited a friend named Oguchiさん, Takahashi 姉妹 and I had taught him a little bit! It was very fun being able to actually converse with him rather than just sitting there pretending I knew what he was talking about. I still kinda did that, but for the most part I could follow along! I also got to see some members and eikaiwa friends!!

πŸ’On Pday our district went to a little Studio Ghibli museum. If you do not know what Studio Ghibli is, it is about as famous in Japan as Disney is. It had a lot of history written out in Japanese, so I was a little bored but at the end there were some fun statue thingies! We also went to a nearby free zoo and watched the monkeys for about 30 minutes. It was pretty fun!

πŸ¦•πŸ¦–On Saturday me and Hinckley 姉妹 were at the church when the elders walked in with one of our Eikaiwa friends named Morio! They said they were going to Dinosaur park if we wanted to go too! Of course we said yes. So we went to Dinosaur park and basically it was a bunch of big Dinosaur statues little kids could play on. Well, we found out that 4 20 yr old Americans could play on it too! We got a few funny looks, but I think most people found us entertaining.

☝️This week our Zone made a goal to invite 300 people to church! We all worked very hard to do it and the miracles came! No one we had tried to invite came haha but 3 of the Elder's people came! Our miracle was our friend who wants to get baptized came! Nobue! We have been trying to get her to come for so long, but things kept getting in her way. Finally, she was able to come and it was so good. So cool too how it was the Sunday we were trying to get everyone to come that she made it.

🎟Let me tell you this little story.
Hinckley shimai and I were on our way home from Matsumoto which is a little expensive of a ticket. We got on the train and after sitting for a minute, I checked my pockets to find my ticket. BUT IT WAS NOT IN MY POCKETS! I got really worried because it was not a cheap ticket. I checked all my pockets, my bag, but I could not find it. I had this calm feeling that I don't need to stress about it and to look for it again before we had to get off. So I sat there and started to occupy myself. It was time to go and I looked everywhere again, but no ticket. I kept saying little prayers to please help me find it, but I could not. Accepting that I would probably have to buy another one, I sighed and picked up my backpack to put it on. Then BAM my ticket was there on the ground. Maybe it had fallen under my backpack when I sat down, I'm not sure. It was a little miracle, but had a big impact on me. I know for a 100% fact that God watches over His missionaries. There are so many tiny little details I have seen that are just testaments to me that this is the most greatest work. The best thing I could be doing with my life right now. God never ceases to show this to me.
I know this church is true.
I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who is eager to bless us.
I know that Gathering Isreal is the greatest, most important work on this earth.
I know God loves me and each of you!
Make it a good week and look for His hand in your life!
