Anyways it was a great and chill week! Woohoo!
We visited Sister Yasui at her house and had dinner with her. She served us lots of food, some more than others. Poor Sister Beal, my lovely companion, was getting very full. She kinda mentioned that she probably couldn't finish, but Yasui ε§ε¦Ή started singing this weird song about finishing your food. I don't really know. So, in between glances I snuck bites of her food. We also happened to switch my empty bowl with her half full bowl without anyone noticing. We were pretty slick!
We have been busting out the oyasumi kaiin visits. (Oyasumi: break/rest) (kaiin: member). We have had some good contacts, but a lot of missed ones. It's hard to catch people when they are home. It has been good, as the people we visit seem super grateful for it. The conversations are always good and meaningful. Even the people who have no interest in coming back, they are grateful for a visit which has been comforting.
My favorite visit so far has been with Wakaki ε
εΌ。I just really liked his goats!
A visit I will never forget was with Hasegawa ε§ε¦Ή。We talked with her for a while about her story and her life. It went really well and she was super sweet. But, every invitation we extended to her to bring the gospel back into her life she denied. After a while of talking we asked if we could pray together. She said ehh 倧δΈε€«γ§γ (I'm okay). We asked again.. ε°γγη₯γ？ (a small prayer) She finally agreed and we all folded our arms. As soon as we do, someone pulls up in her car. It was her friend! She is from a religion that I don't think likes Christians. Of course Hasegawa ε§ε¦Ή started talking to her, and there went our small prayer. Her friend came up and practically pushed Hasegawa ε§ε¦Ή back into her house while thanking us and saying bye.
It was a good reminder that Satan is just as involved in the work. He will do anything to interrupt and stop the work from going forward. It was a sad time, but it strengthened my testimony that I am doing the right thing. Why else would Satan care so much?
